"Amore mio, parlami. Dimmi tutto.” Neferet andò da Kalona, inginocchiandosi davanti a lui, accarezzando le morbide, scure ali che liberamente spiegate circondavano l’immortale.
“Cosa vuoi che ti dica?” Disse senza incrociare gli occhi di lei.
“Zoey è viva” la voce di Neferet era piatta,fredda e senza vita.
“Lo è.”
“Allora mi devi la piena sottomissione della tua anima immortale.” Lei iniziò ad allontanarsi da lui.
“Dove stai andando? Dopo cosa succederà?”
“ E’ molto semplice. Mi assicurerò che Zoey venga riportata indietro in Oklahoma. Poi li, a modo mio, porterò a compimento la missione che tu hai fallito.”
OMG!!! L'excerpt che sono riuscita a trovare fa pensare a tutto e di più, ora mi aspetto che in Awakened succeda il finimodo.
Le copertine sono fantastiche, anche se io preferisco quella della Atom, credo che acquisterò l'edizione della Little, Brown Book Group. Mi scoccia avere un libro di un'edizione diversa da tutti gli altri... Mannaggia!
Dovrò meditarci su un po'.
